The Top Five Affinium Campaign Features: Optimize Marketing Campaigns

As I just returned from this year’s Unica MIS, I have been thinking about my favorite features in Affinium Campaign. Picking my top 5 was not an easy task, as there are so many features you can take advantage of. I could literally list out 20 different features that can optimize your marketing campaigns.
In addition, I am not even scratching the surface on advanced customization that can be put in place in Campaign, and on the Campaign Server. Below I am listing out my top 5 features that you can take advantage of in Affinium Campaign to efficiently run your marketing campaigns. I plan on doing a separate blog entry for each one listed below, and will expand appropriately.
Are you building customer loyalty?

That may be one of the toughest questions your organization has to answer. A consumer might be completely satisfied with a brand, but does that mean she won't jump at a chance to save money, become more efficient, etc? It can be hard to stay loyal when there are many options available, and simply providing world class customer satisfaction is no longer enough.
Walker Information Inc. recently polled consumers on the topic of loyalty. Their research indicated "there's still a yawning gap between the percentage of people who say they're satisfied with a business and those who consider themselves 'loyal' to that business-intent on maintaining the relationship and continuing it into the future." Jeff Marr, Vice President at Walker offered this, "Many companies have figured out how to deliver satisfaction, but they've not yet figured out how to earn loyalty anywhere near those levels."
Top 5 iPhone Apps

Less than three months ago, the way I work changed drastically. I didn't learn a time management technique, or take a class to learn a new skill set. I got an iPhone and work will never be the same again. While many iPhone apps exist for entertainment, there are plenty that will help you work more efficiently and truly define what it means to be "working remote". The best way to improve return on a marketing effort is to make sure you are targeting the correct customers or prospects. An important piece of this is suppression. There are plenty of list brokers who will have no problem selling or renting you a list of deceased individuals, prison addresses, bankruptcy records, etc.

Ron Popeil had it right when he used the above phrase on his infomercial for the Ronco Rotisserie. The recent economic downturn shows how every business needs to be able to "Set it, and forget it". Automation is extremely important during tough economic times, and can be extremely beneficial to any business. How do you know what to focus on automating? Ask the simple question, what is your biggest pain point?
